Merrifield Panthers Sporting Association is located in Merrifield (Mickleham) and is the overarching sporting association for a range of sports servicing Mickleham and surrounding suburbs, including Basketball, Cricket, Football and Tennis.
Merrifield Panthers Sporting Association started in 2018 by local dads Glenn Herring and Steven Strong. The name 'Merrifield Panthers' was created by the children participating in the Merrifield Auskick program at the time.
Since its' inception Merrifield Panthers has leaped ahead in strides, cementing a strong and reputable position in the Craigieburn Junior Domestic Basketball competition, has a rapidly growing Auskick program, launched into Junior Football with the Merrifield Panthers Football Club playing in the Essendon Districts Football League (EDFL) in 2024. Junior and Senior Cricket continues to grow with 14 teams including a junior all girls team in 2024. And we have just been accepted into the Northern Surburban Junior Tennis Association (NSJTA) with our first teams being entered in July 2024.
